Dominic, I dont have anything against Clifton, I was helpfully pointing out the anomaly in the proposed changes. The snag is that if changes favour larger clubs too much smaller clubs are likely to find it difficult to survive. I suspect that the proposer did not appreciate the effect on Div I clubs. In retrospect I think that the motion as it stands with A players in Div I not being able to play in their B team would improve the league making Div I a proper championship competition. Smaller clubs in Div II and III will find the going harder though. I dont think the motion in its current form will be acceptable to others; however its difficult to see what could be done at this stage.
