I had other commitments also, but must admit that the cost of entering lots of congresses has become prohibitive. I enjoy playing Frome and Cheltenham as I (usually) get the opportunity to play new players, in bigger sections. Having a congress restricted to Bristol League players is nice in theory but judging from the attendance and the comments on here it looks like "adapt or die" is definitely the way to go...
