Thats kind of what i assumed. There were a few variations of that rule offered after a heated argument. One was that the players reconstruct the position to complete the score in the offending persons time... What actually happened was the guy in the wrong offered a draw in a winning position which the other guy accepted. My thoughts were obviously that the game couldnt be forfeited as a result of the offence so the only penalty could have been a 2 minute penalty. It was made harder because the player in time trouble never actually said anything until they had reached 35 moves and were about to put the clocks back. This reminds me of another game i saw earlier this season, it may have been referred to lmc. Players A and B were in a time scramble. Player A moved and knocked a piece over. He picked it up and waited for the other guy to move. Player B had pressed the clock because he felt player A never noticed the clock being pressed though and lost on time. What happens here??
