Finally, I think tournament entries are very much affected by its reputation. If tournaments in Bristol gain a reputation for being poorly- attended, then people will assume that trend will continue and won’t enter, whilst the opposite is also true- more people will enter a tournament if they think it will have a decent number of entrants. My point is that ignoring the problem will only lead to fewer and fewer people entering year- on- year, whilst taking some positive steps to change could lead to increased entrants for a number of years.
