Tom, if your game wins I believe part of the prize is a pint of real ale, so I would like to put my name forward as a volunteer to drink it on your behalf seeing as you're not at the legal age yet

Here's my entry (my only win of the season so far!):

[Date "2011.10.05"]
[Result "1-0"]
[FEN "rnbqkbnr/pppppppp/8/8/8/8/PPPPPPPP/RNBQKBNR w KQkq - 0 1"]
[White "Neil Adams"]
[WhiteElo "132"]
[Black "Jody Johnson"]
[BlackElo "153"]
[Event "Clifton D vs Downend D, Board 1"]

1.e4 c5 2.Nf3 g6 3.d4 cxd4 4.Nxd4 Bg7 5.Be3 d6 6.Nc3 Nf6 { Fairly standard Sicilian setup so far. } 7.Bc4 O-O 8.Qd2 Ng4 9.Bg5 Qb6 10.Nb3 Qc7 11.Be2 Nc6 12.h3 { Now I force the Knight to retreat... } 12...Nge5 13.f4 { And again... } 13...Nd7 14.O-O-O { Development complete! } 14...a6 15.g4 { Trying to generate an attack more quickly than my opponent can attack my King } 15...h6 16.Bh4 b5 17.Bf3 { Trying to take advantage of the diagonal } 17...Nb6 18.Nd5 { Forcing my opponent to make a decision... } 18...Nxd5 { And now do I capture back with the pawn or the Queen? } 19.exd5 { I went for the pawn to restrict the movement of the Knight once it retreats } 19...Nd8 20.Rhe1 { At this point I offered a draw, but my opponent was keen to play on. } 20...Re8 { I will now try to take advantage of my opponents disconnected back rank. } 21.Bf2 Bb7 { I think this is a mistake, I would have played Nb7 and then Nc5 to control the centre. The Bishop is better on the c8-h3 diagonal. } 22.f5 { Taking advantage of the lack of Bishop on the diagonal } 22...Rc8 { Making me very aware of the mate threat on c2 } 23.Bd4 { Trying to swap off the strong dark-squared Bishop... } 23...Bxd4 { And my opponent obliges! } 24.Nxd4 { Now the Knight covers c2 so the Queen is freed up to attack h6 } 24...g5 25.h4 { Trying to open up the h-file } 25...f6 26.hxg5 fxg5 { I think hxg5 may be better, but Black is already a bit worse here. } 27.Rh1 Nf7 { The Knight re-enters the game } 28.Rxh6 { !! - this move is winning in all combinations that I can see. } 28...e5 29.Rg6+ Kf8 30.Ne6+ Rxe6 31.fxe6 { Opening up the f-file for an attack } 31...e4 32.Bxe4 Ne5 33.Rf1+ { Black resigned here, mate is following in a few moves. } 1-0

I would like to ask what is the furthest back date that a game can be submitted for consideration please? i.e. this season last season or beyond that even?

Hi Mr. Animal (or may I call you Filthy?)

The prize is awarded each year at the League's AGM in May, so it will have to be since then.

I woke, and found that life was Duty.

I love Jack's game but I also like Tom's game. It reminds me of when I got thrashed by him as well
