How does this work? If a team of 4 players come first and want promotion to division three the following season with six players, does that mean the bottom team in division 3 automatically go down to division four ?

As far as I know we would be reluctant to force relegation on a Division Three team but would do all we can to allow a six player team to join Division Three.

problem that we have now is that Division Three is already at max capacity with 11 teams so encouraging an extra team to gain promotion to Division 2 is maybe the answer

Yes I understand you Dave. Then again, maybe auto- promotion in all divisions should be considered.

The problem with that, Bob, is that division 4 is four player teams. The whole reason for that was for clubs who couldn't muster enough players for another six player team.

Then they need to be given the option of promotion if they can muster enough players.
