It used to be called "Wijk an Zee" and before that was the Corus Chess championship.

Everyone thought Carlsen would walk away with it, but despite his defeat of Aronian, the Armenian looks in good shape to finish top of the A group of Super-GMs.

Matthew Sadler is the sole British representative, and even he is now a naturalised Dutchman I think.

Some interesting games have been played, and it's good to see that the trend of different openings amongst the world's strongest players continues to shift.
