Will the new grades be used for the grading thresholds for playing down?
I'd suggest not as there's no indication in the rules that these may be revised mid-season, but I may be biased.

Hi James

I have a draft version of the Half Year Grades

You've moved up slightly from 132 --->>> to 136

Later on this evening I'll put up a spreadsheet on the website and place a link in a post here to download it

Here are the New Grades for all the players playing in our league

http://www.chessit.co.uk/League%20seaso ... 202012.xls

The spreadsheet has three sheets -

sorted on

1. Grade Descending
2. Name
3. Club - handy for Club Secretaries to print out

It is excellent to see that the ECF show previous results but one downside is that you can spot errors.

I lost to James Adair in the Berkshire league in 2011. He was rated 212. The rating officer kindly reported that I lost to Andrew Adair 126. Some difference!

This is now recorded for posterity for everyone to see as it will be too late to correct.

Of course, all the Bristol results were correct!

Hi Phil, No, the grading thresholds as at the start of the season will be used for the whole season. Changing them halfway through would be a statistical nightmare!
