Nov 19th -  Minor Knockout Semi-Final Draw:   Keynsham v Grendel  :   Yate v South Bristol

    2 players have been cleared by the LMC to change clubs due to moving house

Neil Adams ( Keynsham ) ----->  ( Downend )   James Woodruff ( Yate )  ----->  ( Hanham )


Nov 14th  - Grendel, Keynsham, South Bristol & Yate progress into the Semi-Final draw of the Minor Knockout

Bristol Juniors performing well

Bristol Juniors reached the final of the championship in the Midlands Junior Chess League 2009 during the summer and only lost by the slimmest of margins to the defending champions.  This was an impressive start as they were entering the competion as newcomers.

Well done to Aiden, Gareth, Adi, James & both Tom's that took part in the event and to Peter Saunders who guided the team to success



Nov 12th -  Clifton A go to the top of Division 1 after an impressive win over Clevedon A.  South Bristol & Bath University open up a lead at the top of Division Two & Three with Yate B leading the way in Division Four.

We are sorry to inform you that Graeme Thomson of Clifton Chess Club has died following a long illness.

 His funeral was held at Bristol Memorial Woodlands, Alveston, at 11am on Tuesday 10 November.
