Round One - A Tragedy for IM Jack Rudd as he's first the finish on day one.
GM Simon Williams v IM Jack Rudd was a truly bizarre game.
Assuming the clocks on the Championship Live Game page were accurate, Jack blitzed out his first 11 moves
1.d4 Nf6 2.c4 c5 3.d5 e6 4.Nf3 b5 5.Bg5 exd5 6.cxd5 h6 7.Bxf6 Qxf6 8.Qc2 d6 9.e4 a6 10.a4 b4 11.Nbd2 Bg4 12.e5
then took only a couple of minutes to play his
Qe7, to reach this position.
