Dear Chess Friends,

 

It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that I write to inform you of the death of our much valued friend and chess player David Jones. ( Funeral Arrangements below )

 

I understand he passed away on Wednesday night following a short battle with illness. He was a much loved member of Hanham Chess Club and his humour will be greatly missed. I also know that he had many friends within the Bristol Chess community and in particular South Bristol Chess Club where he played for many years. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family at this time. We will share details of his funeral service if and when they are shared with us by his family.

I am very sorry if I have missed anyone, I do not have an up to date contact list for the League and South Bristol Chess Club. Please feel free to pass this message on to anyone I may have missed.
