League AGM Minutes 28th May 2009 at Filton Leisure Centre, Bristol ( John Paines in the Chair ) AGM Motions 2009 The Minutes of last years AGM were approved without objection.

The Thresholds for all four Divisions concerning playing down will be revised to accommodate the new Grading Scales. The Minor League Knockout Grading average will be set at 135 Home Captains are reminded to keep their copy of Match Reports in case of loss or dispute, though electronic submissions have not been prone to many of these. There are no Clubs in arrears this year.
As 80% of receipts goes directly to the ECF. - some increase in Game fees is to be expected.
An increase in Team Registration fees was approved as follows; - £28 for teams of six and £18 for teams four. Junior League which was very active in the early season dwindled to 7 players but they were successful in coming second in the National event in the West Midlands. Due to several Teams failing midway, Division 5 was unsuccessful and so it was decided to have four divisions next season. The diminished role of The Bristol Chess Times and the retirement of its Editor David Collier had led the LMC to propose the removal of this Office from the Committee. This motion and the consequent rule changes were approved without objection. The following were elected to the new LMC.
